Iran responds to call of trump for dialogue: Washington is pursuing hostile and criminal behavior.

On Tuesday, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized U.S. President Donald Trump’s call for dialogue, accusing Washington of adopting “hostile and criminal behavior.” This came after Trump stated before the Knesset that the United States was ready to reach an agreement with Tehran.

Last June, the United States joined Israel in bombing Iranian nuclear facilities following five rounds of indirect nuclear talks with Tehran, which stalled over issues such as uranium enrichment.

Western countries accuse Iran of seeking to acquire nuclear weapons—a claim Tehran denies, insisting its nuclear program is solely for civilian purposes.

On Monday, President Trump reiterated in a speech before the Knesset that he seeks a peace agreement with Tehran, following U.S. participation in strikes on Iranian nuclear sites earlier this year.

Trump said, “It would be wonderful to reach a peace agreement with Iran,” adding, “Wouldn’t that please you? Wouldn’t that be nice? I think they want it too.”

He continued, “We are ready when you are ready to reach an agreement.”

He clarified, “If Iran had nuclear weapons, Arab countries wouldn’t feel comfortable signing the agreement we have now.”
