Syrian Defense Minister Murhaf Abu Qasra announced that an agreement has been reached with the Kurds on a “comprehensive ceasefire.”

In a post on the platform "X," Abu Qasra stated, "I just met with the General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, in the capital Damascus, and we agreed on a comprehensive ceasefire across all fronts and military deployment points in northern and northeastern Syria, with the implementation of this agreement to begin immediately."
