Netherlands: Supreme Court Gives Government 6 Weeks to Review Arms Export Policy to Israel.

The Dutch Supreme Court has given the government six weeks to reassess its arms export policies to Israel. However, the court did not uphold a lower court’s previous ruling that banned the export of F-35 fighter jet components. Instead, it stated that the government itself must evaluate whether there is a risk that these components could be used in violation of international law.

During this six-week review period, the suspension of F-35 parts exports will remain in effect.

Dutch Pension Fund Divests from Caterpillar Over Gaza Concerns

Separately, the largest Dutch pension fund announced on Wednesday that it had sold its stake in the American company Caterpillar. This decision followed media reports indicating that the Israeli military had used Caterpillar machinery in its operations.

As of late March, the fund still held a stake in Caterpillar valued at approximately €387 million.
