The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its welcome of the initiative launched by U.S. President Donald Trump, which aims to end the war in Gaza.

In a statement, the ministry said it "commends the proposals included in the announcement regarding halting the war, rebuilding the Gaza Strip, preventing the displacement of the Palestinian people, and affirming the rejection of any annexation of the West Bank."

The ministry also expressed its hope that these proposals would contribute to ending the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza, ensuring the delivery of sufficient humanitarian aid to Palestinians in the Strip without restrictions, and preventing any attempts to displace them.
