On Sunday, police in the U.S. state of Michigan successfully killed the perpetrator of an attack targeting a church on the outskirts of Flint, which led to a fire in the church and injuries to several individuals.
Local sources reported that “a number of people were injured following gunfire by an armed individual who targeted a church in the town of Grand Blanc, causing the building to catch fire.”
The town’s police department stated on Facebook that “there are multiple victims,” noting that “the shooter has been neutralized and there is no current threat to the public.”
They added that “the church is on fire” and urged residents to avoid the area.
The church, which is surrounded by a parking lot and a wide grassy area, is located near residential neighborhoods and a Jehovah’s Witness church in Grand Blanc.
