Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed his country’s readiness to face any political or economic developments, whether domestic or international.
Speaking at a cabinet meeting, Pezeshkian stated, “Iran has maintained its willingness to sit at the negotiating table until the very last moment in pursuit of a fair solution that serves the interests of all parties. However, the other side seeks to strip Iran of everything it possesses in exchange for a short-term opportunity lasting only a few months.”
He added that Iran “will not accept any negotiations that lead to new problems,” emphasizing that “our consistent policy is to protect the interests of the Iranian people and not to compromise the nation’s achievements under external pressure.”
Pezeshkian highlighted Iran’s “broad and constructive relations with neighboring and friendly countries,” describing them as a barrier against adversaries’ attempts to achieve their goals and illusions. He noted that “Washington tried during the peak of sanctions and conflict to disrupt Iran’s export sector, but these efforts failed.”
He also pointed to Iran’s ability to “reduce its reliance on oil resources without compromising domestic needs, while continuing to implement strong economic and social development programs.” He concluded by saying that “many countries around the world, despite lacking oil or gas resources, have managed to meet their internal needs and pursue development. Iran, by relying on the expertise of its professionals and the unity of its people, will continue its developmental path with the same determination.”
