In an unprecedented move aimed at enhancing national capacities and improving professional and academic competence in the field of migration management and sustainable solutions, the Ministry of Migration and Displacement, in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, held today the first-ever competitive exam for admission into the Professional Postgraduate Diploma Program in Migration Management and Sustainable Solutions.
The exam took place at the College of Arts—Department of Sociology at the University of Baghdad, with the attendance of the Minister of Migration and Displacement, Ms. Evan Faeq Gabro. More than 32 candidates from various disciplines participated, competing for admission into this specialized academic program, which seeks to equip participants with theoretical knowledge and practical skills to address displacement and migration issues in line with the latest global standards and practices.
The ministry emphasized that this program marks a new beginning in specialized academic studies in migration management in Iraq. It is part of a broader strategy to develop institutional capacities and strengthen national competencies. The development of a specialized academic curriculum is expected to offer practical and sustainable solutions to the challenges associated with displacement and migration, aligning with global trends in this field.
