Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa is scheduled to deliver an official speech on September 24, accompanied by Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shibani.

According to informed sources, the United States has granted President Al-Sharaa a visa to enter its territory, allowing him to visit New York between September 21 and 25 to participate in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The sources added that Al-Sharaa will deliver his official address on September 24, accompanied by Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shibani and Syria’s envoy to the United Nations, Ibrahim Al-Alabi, according to the Independent Arabia website.

They revealed a possible meeting between Al-Sharaa and U.S. President Donald Trump, as well as an anticipated visit to the “Turkish House” alongside President Erdoğan, amid Saudi and Turkish efforts to support Syria diplomatically and apply pressure to halt Israeli violations.

This comes as Al-Sharaa prepares to deliver what is expected to be “the first speech by a Syrian president at the United Nations in 60 years.”
