Chinese President Xi Jinping, in a speech opening a massive military parade held in Beijing to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, declared that his country is “unstoppable.” The event was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump accused his Chinese counterpart of “conspiring” against the United States alongside the Russian and North Korean leaders.

The parade began this morning in the Chinese capital to commemorate the end of China’s war with Japan. Xi Jinping reiterated that the rise of the Chinese nation cannot be halted.

He also called on world nations to “eliminate the root causes of war and prevent the repetition of historical tragedies.”

In response, President Trump accused Xi of conspiring against the U.S. with Putin and Kim, posting on his platform, “Wishing President Xi and the great people of China a wonderful day of celebrations,” before adding sarcastically, “Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un while you conspire against the United States.”
