American media reported on Wednesday that several people were killed and injured in a shooting that targeted Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

According to Minneapolis police, “Around 20 victims, both injured and deceased, were reported following the shooting at the Catholic school.”

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz described the incident as a “horrific” shooting during the first week of classes at the Catholic school in Minneapolis.

The city government of Minneapolis stated that the shooter had been “contained” after opening fire at Annunciation Catholic School and confirmed that there was “no active threat” to residents.

A federal source told Fox News that a large number of people were injured in the shooting.

Law enforcement officials told CNN that the suspected shooter was “killed.”
