Local Syrian sources reported on Sunday evening that an explosion shook the city of Nawa in western rural Daraa.
The sources stated that “the explosion in the city of Nawa in western rural Daraa was caused by a war remnant shell that detonated during garbage burning, and no human casualties were reported.”
The province of Daraa occasionally witnesses bombings and assassinations attributed to unknown assailants, amid ongoing security tensions that have persisted for years.
Earlier yesterday evening, Syrian media reported the death of a person in a suicide bombing in the Al-Maysar neighborhood of Aleppo.
The media reported that the explosion claimed the life of at least one person.
They added that “the explosion was caused by a suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt who detonated himself near the Al-Wahda bakery in the neighborhood.”
