Minister of Migration and Displacement Ms. Evan Faeq Jabro received Brigadier General François Tricot, Senior Advisor to the French Forces in Baghdad and Kuwait within the Joint Task Force—Operation Inherent Resolve, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the capital to discuss avenues of cooperation on the return of displaced persons and efforts to support stability.

During the meeting, both parties reaffirmed continued coordination with the International Coalition, particularly regarding the return of families from the Al-Hol camp in Syria. They also discussed support for the “Hope Center” for community rehabilitation in Nineveh Province, which facilitates the reintegration of returnees through psychological and social support programs.

Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening the partnership between Iraq and the International Coalition to ensure a dignified and safe return for displaced persons and to support stability in the liberated areas.
