The Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Thursday that U.S. President Donald Trump may visit Israel before his scheduled trip to London in September.

According to the newspaper, sources within the White House revealed on Thursday that Trump could visit Israel next month, if circumstances permit.

The report stated that Trump’s visit to Israel would be linked to developments in the ceasefire negotiations concerning the Gaza Strip. An American official noted that the visit is not yet confirmed.

Israel has continued its war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. Despite ongoing mediation efforts by the U.S. and Arab countries, no ceasefire agreement has been reached so far.

Although recent negotiations failed to yield an agreement, there are renewed efforts to resume talks, even as the Israeli government has announced its approval of a plan to fully occupy the Gaza Strip.

From October 7, 2023, to August 11 of this year, the war on Gaza has resulted in the deaths of over 61,000 Palestinians and approximately 154,000 injuries, according to data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
