Fox News reported on Sunday that Steve Witkoff, the U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East, stated that the stalled negotiations with Hamas are beginning to resume. He also indicated that "negotiations with Iran will get back on track."

The network further quoted U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio saying significant progress has been made in the Gaza negotiations. Rubio said:

 “We hope to reach a ceasefire that releases half the hostages initially, with the rest freed by the end of the 60-day period.”

He added:

“The solution to what’s happening in Gaza is very simple—release the hostages and lay down your weapons, and the war will end.”
