Aid Convoys from Three Arab Nations Head to Gaza Amid Israeli Tactical Pause.

On Sunday, humanitarian aid convoys from the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Jordan made their way toward the Gaza Strip, coinciding with a daily temporary suspension of military operations in certain parts of Gaza by the Israeli army.

 United Arab Emirates:

- 25 Emirati trucks entered Gaza via the Rafah border crossing.

- They carried large pipes to supply drinking water.

- Part of an Emirati initiative to construct a new 7-kilometer water line from the desalination plant in Egyptian Rafah to the displacement zone between Rafah and Khan Younis.

- The pipeline aims to provide water to roughly 600,000 people in southern Gaza.

Egypt:

- Egyptian aid trucks began moving from the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing early Sunday.

- They were loaded with food supplies and flour.

- The aid is set to enter Gaza through the Kerem Shalom crossing.

Jordan:

- Jordan announced the dispatch of a humanitarian convoy with 60 trucks carrying food supplies.

- The effort was coordinated with the Jordanian armed forces, the World Food Programme, and World Central Kitchen, according to the Jordan News Agency (Petra).

 Israeli Tactical Pause:

- The Israeli military declared a daily tactical pause in operations in areas with low activity, including Al-Mawasi, Deir al-Balah, and Gaza City.

- This pause will occur daily from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

The intention of this pause is to facilitate the movement and distribution of aid by the UN and other international organizations.

Despite ongoing airdrops of humanitarian aid by Israel, the UAE, and the UK, relief officials—led by UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini—have raised doubts about the effectiveness of this method, calling it “insufficient” to address the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe.
