The American company Northrop Grumman has secured an $11.7 million contract to provide logistical support for Iraq’s fleet of C-172 and C-208 aircraft.
According to the website “Investing,” citing the U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon), the contract was awarded on June 30 and raises the total value from $58.9 million to $70.6 million with the addition of this new agreement.
The contract falls under the Foreign Military Sales program for Iraq, with a specific allocation of $11,737,827. The project is overseen by the Training Aircraft Division of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, under the Rapid Acquisition and Sustainment Branch at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.
The website added that the company—headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas—will carry out the work at Martyr Ali Flaih Air Base (formerly known as Balad Air Base) in Iraq, with the project expected to be completed by June 30, 2026.
