On Tuesday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian firmly rejected accusations that his country is developing a nuclear bomb, describing them as “nothing but lies.” He emphasized that building such a weapon has never been part of Tehran’s doctrine or strategic goals.

In a strongly worded speech, Pezeshkian asked, “Didn’t you claim that Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons? Then why did you target civilians in your attacks?

He reiterated that the allegations are “mere lies,” adding, “We will not build a nuclear bomb. It has never been part of our doctrine or strategic objectives.

In a related context, President Pezeshkian accused Israel of conducting “systematic assassination policies” around the world, stating that Tel Aviv has “created an entity that attacks whomever it wants and assassinates whomever it wants, whenever it wants,” as he put it.

These statements come amid rising regional tensions and repeated accusations from Western and Israeli sources that Iran is pursuing a military-style nuclear program—claims that Tehran consistently denies.
