President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid welcomed Mr. Rayan al-Kildani at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad.

 During the meeting, they discussed the general situation in the country, stressing the importance of safeguarding Iraq’s unity—both its land and people—and reinforcing the principles of peaceful and national coexistence among all Iraqi communities.

 The upcoming electoral entitlement was also highlighted as a constitutional path that strengthens democracy and gives citizens the opportunity to express their will freely and responsibly.

 Mr. Rayan al-Kildani expressed full support for the Independent High Electoral Commission and its efforts to organize the elections, emphasizing the need to ensure suitable conditions that enable broad participation and fair representation for all segments of Iraqi society.

 In turn, the President underlined the importance of joint cooperation to ensure the success of the upcoming elections, contributing to political stability and the building of a state based on citizenship and the rule of law.
