Minister of Migration and Displacement Ms. Evan Faeq Jabro expressed condolences and sympathy to the Iraqi people over the tragic fire that erupted at a commercial center in the city of Al-Kut, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries.

In a post on the platform X (formerly Twitter), the minister wrote:

"With deep sorrow and grief, we received the heartbreaking news of the catastrophe that struck the city of Al-Kut due to the devastating fire that broke out in a commercial center, claiming the lives of dozens of innocent citizens and leaving many injured."

She concluded her post by saying,

"May mercy and peace be upon the martyrs of Al-Kut, and speedy recovery to the injured. May the Lord’s grace be with them—and with all of us."
