Tehran announced on Monday that it has not set any new date or location to resume indirect nuclear negotiations with the United States, emphasizing that any return to talks is contingent upon receiving genuine guarantees. This statement comes amid rising Western threats to reinstate UN sanctions on Iran—measures that Tehran strongly rejects, calling them “illegal and lacking legitimacy.”
At the same time, Iranian officials warned of a potential escalation in the war in Gaza, issuing threats to Tel Aviv and delivering harsh criticism toward Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei confirmed that “there is no specific date or location at present” for any future meeting between Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff.
During a press conference, Baghaei stressed that Iran will not enter any diplomatic process unless its outcomes are guaranteed in advance.
