A Syrian source close to the head of the Syrian regime, Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, stated in an interview with the Hebrew channel "i24 NEWS" that "Al-Sharaa attended at least one meeting with Israeli officials in Azerbaijan on Saturday.

The source added that "Al-Sharaa is attending despite claims from sources in Damascus denying his presence.

The high-level Israeli delegation includes a special envoy from Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, along with security and military figures.

The same source suggests that they may discuss the possibility of opening an Israeli coordination office in Damascus, even without diplomatic status.
