Over 1.6 Million Barrels of Iraqi Oil Exported to Jordan in Five Months.

Iraq’s oil exports to Jordan during the first five months of 2025 exceeded 1.6 million barrels.

According to statistics published by SOMO (State Organization for Marketing of Oil), "Iraqi oil exports to Jordan during the months of January, February, March, April, and May reached 1,649,316 barrels, marking a decline of 10.39% compared to the same period last year, when exports totaled 1,840,591 barrels."

The statement noted:

- January exports reached 309,980 barrels.

- February increased to 419,946 barrels

- March saw a drop to 309,765 barrels.

- April recorded 299,819 barrels.

- May rose again to 309,906 barrels

Jordan and Iraq had agreed back in August 2023 to raise monthly oil imports from 10,000 to 15,000 barrels, increasing the total from 300,000 to 450,000 barrels annually covering roughly 10% of Jordan's crude oil needs.
