Former U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the location of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is known and that he is an easy target, but he will not be targeted at this time. Trump demanded Iran's unconditional surrender.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, "We know exactly where the Supreme Leader is hiding in Iran... The Supreme Leader is an easy target, but we will not eliminate him—at least not for now."

He added, "Our patience is wearing thin... We do not want to target our soldiers."

Meanwhile, Reuters quoted U.S. officials saying that the U.S. military is deploying fighter jets to the Middle East. One official stated that the deployments include F-16, F-22, and F-35 fighter jets.

Two officials confirmed that the deployment is defensive in nature and that the fighter jets will be used to intercept drones and projectiles.
