Today... Iraq faces Jordan in a formality match.

Jordan’s national team will host Iraq on Tuesday evening in the tenth and final round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The match will take place at 9:15 PM at Amman International Stadium.

According to Ahmed Al-Mousawi, a spokesperson for the Iraqi Football Association, the Iraqi players are ready for today’s match. While it does not impact direct qualification to the World Cup, the game remains important for international rankings and morale.

Al-Mousawi emphasized that Iraq still has a chance to qualify through the playoff round, which provides a second opportunity to secure a spot in the tournament.

Live broadcasts of the Jordan vs. Iraq match in the World Cup qualifiers will be available on beIN Sports HD2 and Al-Kass Channels.

Jordan currently ranks second in the group with 16 points, behind group leader South Korea, which has 19 points—both teams have already secured direct qualification for the 2026 World Cup. Iraq sits in third place with 12 points, losing its chance for direct qualification and now needing to compete in the playoffs for a spot in the tournament.
