U.S. Travel Ban on Citizens of Four Arab Countries.

American media outlets reported on Thursday that the United States has issued orders banning entry for citizens of several countries.

According to reports, U.S. President Donald Trump signed a complete ban on travel to the U.S. for citizens from 12 nations, including Yemen, Sudan, Somalia, and Libya.

White House Statement

White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson provided details on the decision to include these four Arab countries in the full ban on travel to the U.S.

In a post on X, she wrote:

"President Trump is fulfilling his promise to protect Americans from dangerous foreign entities seeking to enter our country and harm us."

She added,

"These reasonable restrictions are country-specific and target places lacking proper security screening, those with high visa overstay rates, or nations that fail to share identity and threat-related information."

Jackson concluded:

"President Trump will always act in the best interest and safety of the American people."

Broader Travel Ban

According to CBS News, Trump signed an order barring citizens from 12 nations, including Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, and Iran, from entering the United States.

Later, the White House clarified that the announcement also imposes partial restrictions on individuals from seven other countries, namely Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela.
