Iranian Official on U.S. Proposal: No Concessions on Enrichment.

On Monday, Iran firmly rejected the latest U.S. proposal aimed at breaking the deadlock in nuclear negotiations that has persisted for months, according to a senior Iranian diplomat.

The diplomat, who chose to remain anonymous due to the sensitivity of the talks, described the U.S. offer as "unrealistic and impractical," stating that Tehran sees no real shift in Washington’s stance on uranium enrichment, which Iran considers a "red line" that cannot be crossed, according to Reuters.

He added that the proposal fails to provide concrete guarantees regarding sanctions relief and completely ignores Iran’s "legitimate nuclear rights," making it a repetition of previous proposals that only complicated negotiations further.

Recently, Washington introduced a new initiative through European mediators to revive the 2015 nuclear agreement, which was abandoned in 2018 by former U.S. President Donald Trump, escalating tensions between the two sides.
