A source close to Hamas confirmed that the group remains firm in its demand for a permanent ceasefire, a full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, and the release of ten prisoners in three phases.
Upon receiving Hamas’ response, U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff swiftly rejected it, stating that it was "totally unacceptable" and would only lead to a setback. He insisted that the U.S. proposal is the "only way" to reach a 60-day ceasefire in the coming days.

Despite the divergent positions, Hamas continues to demand a permanent ceasefire, Israeli withdrawal, and a phased prisoner release.
According to Hamas officials, their stance is the result of extensive consultations conducted over the past two days with their leadership and other Palestinian factions.
