Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi announced on Friday afternoon the conclusion of the fifth round of talks in Rome, Italy, between the United States and Iran.
In a press statement, Al-Busaidi remarked, "We have achieved some progress, though it is not decisive." He added, "We hope to clarify the remaining issues in the coming days, allowing us to move toward a sustainable agreement."
The fifth round of negotiations, mediated by Oman, began in Rome, amid contradictory statements from both the Iranian and American sides regarding their respective demands and the possibility of achieving a breakthrough.
