Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei launched a verbal attack on recent statements by U.S. President Donald Trump during his Gulf tour, describing them as "disgraceful and shameful."
Speaking on Saturday during a gathering of Iranian teachers marking Teacher’s Day, Khamenei stated:
"Some of the remarks made by the American president during his recent visit to the region do not deserve a response, as they are so low in standard that they bring disgrace to the speaker and shame to the American people."
Criticism of U.S. Policies
Khamenei continued, "Trump claims he wants to use force to achieve peace, but he is lying. The U.S. administration, for decades, has only used its power for genocide, wars, and supporting mercenaries," referencing what he described as massacres in Gaza and Lebanon under direct American support.
He declared,
"Yes, force can be used to achieve security, and for this reason, despite the enemies’ wishes, we will continue to strengthen our power and capabilities day after day, with God's help. Meanwhile, they have used their power only to arm the Zionist entity with bombs dropped on Gaza’s children, hospitals, and innocent civilians’ homes."
Condemnation of Israel
Khamenei further asserted:
"There is no doubt that the source of corruption, war, and conflict in this region is the Zionist regime—a dangerous and deadly cancerous tumor in the region—that must be uprooted from its very foundations, and it will be eradicated."
