The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced on Sunday that Iraq ranked fifth among the largest oil exporters to the United States last week.
According to the EIA's report, "The average U.S. crude oil imports from ten major countries last week totaled 5.093 million barrels per day, an increase of 262,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week's average of 4.831 million barrels per day."
The report further stated, "Iraq's crude oil exports to the U.S. reached an average of 141,000 barrels per day, making it the fifth-largest oil supplier to the U.S. last week."
The EIA also noted that Canada was the top oil supplier to the U.S. last week, with 3.386 million barrels per day, followed by Mexico with 369,000 barrels per day, Nigeria with 276,000 barrels per day, and Saudi Arabia with 152,000 barrels per day.
According to the report, Colombia supplied 117,000 barrels per day, followed by Venezuela at 115,000 barrels per day, Brazil at 99,000 barrels per day, Ecuador at 82,000 barrels per day, and Libya at 56,000 barrels per day.
