The Syrian presidency condemned the Israeli airstrike that targeted the vicinity of the presidential palace early Friday morning, describing it as a "dangerous escalation."

In an official statement, the presidency declared, "The Israeli bombardment is a continuation of reckless actions aimed at destabilizing the region and worsening security crises."

The statement also urged the international community and Arab nations to stand by Syria in the face of Israeli aggression. It further called on Arab countries to unify their stance and express full support for Syria in confronting Israeli attacks .

Israel struck a location near the Syrian presidential palace in Damascus, claiming the move was intended to protect the Druze community in Syria, following clashes in Ashrafiyat Sahnaya.
