Pakistan Threatens India with Nuclear Strike: If You Cut Off Our Water We Will Cut Off Your Breath.

Pakistani Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi has issued a nuclear threat against India if it continues to jeopardize Pakistan's water supply.

Speaking at a press conference, Abbasi warned that Pakistan’s nuclear missiles, such as "Ghauri," "Shaheen," and "Ghaznavi," are aimed at India and not merely "decorations displayed in the streets." Abbasi declared, "If you stop our water, we will stop your breath." He emphasized Pakistan's readiness to confront India, adding, "Imagine firing one missile; we’ll retaliate with 200. What will be your fate? Where will you run? We are prepared to fight you. We are not cowards."

He also remarked that India has no knowledge of the locations of Pakistan's missile installations.

Tensions between the two nations escalated after India announced its suspension of participation in the Indus Waters Treaty , following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam that resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists. The rhetoric from both sides has only intensified, with military exercises and strategic posturing becoming more frequent. As diplomatic channels appear to narrow, the fear of miscalculation looms large, raising concerns over the potential for a catastrophic conflict in the region. On Friday night, an explosion destroyed two houses belonging to members of the Lashkar-e-Taiba group implicated in the attack, in the districts of Anantnag and Antanipora . The April 22 attack was one of the deadliest in recent years.

India's suspension of the treaty casts a shadow on Pakistan’s water supply, particularly affecting agriculture and energy sectors. Islamabad called the Indian decision a "declaration of war", asserting its readiness for decisive counteraction should the threats persist.

Pakistan described India’s move as unprecedented since the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 , marking the first time such measures have been implemented.

In response, India ordered all Pakistani nationals to leave within 48 hours, closing its borders in an escalation linked to the attack. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi cut short his visit to Saudi Arabia and returned to Delhi urgently. Meanwhile, Indian Foreign Minister Vikram Misri declared Pakistani military advisers in the Indian embassy to be persona non grata. Diplomatic missions between both countries have also been reduced by nearly half.
