The Egyptian Export Council for Agricultural Crops announced on Monday that Iraq ranked eighth among the top importers of Egyptian agricultural exports between September 2024 and February 2025.
According to the council's report, Iraq imported approximately 104,000 tons of Egyptian agricultural crops, valued at $89 million, making it the eighth-largest importer from Egypt. The report highlighted that key agricultural exports include strawberries, white beans, potatoes, pomegranates, mangoes, and others.
The report further revealed that Russia topped the list of Egyptian agricultural crop importers during this period, with imports valued at $240 million, followed by Saudi Arabia in second place with $208 million, and the United Kingdom in third place with $134 million.
In fourth place was the United Arab Emirates, with imports worth $127 million, followed by Turkey, also with $127 million.
Morocco ranked sixth with imports valued at $127 million, followed by the Netherlands in seventh place with $100 million. Iraq occupied eighth place, while Libya ranked ninth with $80 million, and Algeria came in tenth with imports worth $77 million.
