The Israeli military announced on Saturday that it intercepted a missile launched from Yemen toward Israel, stating that its air defense systems successfully destroyed it.

In a statement, the army clarified that sirens sounded across several areas in Israel following the missile launch.

Since the outbreak of war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Yemen's Houthi rebels have intensified their missile attacks toward Israel, along with targeting ships in the Red Sea, claiming they are linked to Israel.

Meanwhile, Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen have been subjected to near-daily airstrikes, which they attribute to the United States. This follows Washington's announcement on March 15 of a military operation aimed at halting attacks on ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
