The Yemeni Houthi group announced on Wednesday that it targeted the Haifa area in northern Israel with a hypersonic ballistic missile.
In their statement, the group declared, "In solidarity with the Palestinian people's plight and resistance, and in rejection of the genocide committed by the Israeli enemy with U.S. support against our brothers in Gaza, the missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a qualitative military operation targeting a vital site of the Zionist enemy in the occupied Haifa area with a hypersonic ballistic missile."
The statement added that "the missile reached its target, and the interception systems failed to stop it, causing fear and panic among Zionist settlers, with over two million seeking shelter." It also noted that "the Yemeni Armed Forces' drone unit conducted a military operation targeting a vital site in the occupied Jaffa area using a drone named 'Yafa.'"
Earlier on Wednesday, the Israeli army announced that it intercepted a missile coming from Yemen in the early hours of the morning, following the sounding of sirens in several areas.
