With deep sorrow and grief, we have received the news of the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis into the heavenly realms after a life filled with service, dedication to the universal Church, advocacy for human dignity, and spreading the Gospel’s message of love and peace.

On behalf of the Babylon Movement and its Secretary-General, Rayan Al-Kildani, we offer our prayers for the repose of His Holiness’s soul and extend our heartfelt condolences to the Holy See and our brothers in the Catholic Church worldwide, united with them in mourning and prayer.

Pope Francis was a loving father to all believers and a wise shepherd in difficult times. He carried the Church’s cross with courage and faith, and his spiritual presence will remain alive in the hearts and minds of the faithful.

We ask the Lord Jesus to crown him with the wreath of glory in His heavenly kingdom, to grant the Church the grace of consolation, and to send His Holy Spirit to guide it in choosing a new shepherd according to His divine will.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.  Amen.
