Naim Qassem Rejects Disarming Hezbollah: We Will Not Offer Free Services to the Enemy.

The Secretary-General of Lebanon's Hezbollah, Naim Qassem, emphasized that the resistance has successfully halted Israel at the southern border, asserting that disarming the resistance would serve Israel and urging the removal of this idea from consideration.

In his speech, Qassem stated, "Resistance is a reaction to occupation, especially when the Lebanese state is unable to protect its lands and citizens on its own." He explained that Israel is expansionist, not content with occupied Palestine, but seeking to take Lebanon as well.

Hezbollah, according to Qassem, believes in resistance for two reasons: a faith-based commitment to liberating the land and a national duty to reclaim occupied territory. He added, "The resistance has managed to stop Israel at the southern border, preventing it from achieving its goals, with the youth demonstrating legendary resilience."

Qassem argued, "It is not about counting losses but recognizing how the resistance prevented Israel from achieving its objectives." He highlighted that the resistance's achievements were pivotal in forcing the occupation to withdraw.

He noted that the ceasefire agreement was a result of the resistance's steadfastness, without which the agreement would not have been possible, and Israel's aggression would have continued. He stressed, "The world acknowledges that Hezbollah and the Lebanese state adhered to the agreement, while Israel did not."

Qassem pointed out that Israel continues its daily aggressions, with over 2,700 violations recorded, aiming to occupy a significant portion of Lebanon to annex it to occupied Palestine. He described Israel's calls to disarm the resistance as an attempt to weaken Lebanon and occupy it as part of its expansionist agenda.

He declared, "Israel seeks to undermine Lebanon's strength by discussing disarming the resistance. Do you expect us to reach a state of weakness that allows Israel to invade all of Lebanon? That will not happen. Those who think we are weak are delusional."

Qassem affirmed, "We have options, and we fear nothing. You will see at the appropriate time what we decide." He continued, "Disarming by force is a service to the Israeli enemy and a sedition that will not occur. We will not surrender, we are not weak, and we are not intimidated by threats from the U.S. or Israel. We are ready for confrontation."

He concluded, "We will not allow anyone to disarm the resistance. This idea must be removed from consideration. This weapon is what granted freedom to our people and liberated our homeland."
