In a press conference, Trump stated, "We have direct talks with Iran, and there will be a very important meeting on Saturday." He added, "We hope the negotiations with Iran will succeed," noting that "the Gaza war will stop in the near future."

He continued, "If China does not withdraw its new tariffs, we will impose tariffs," emphasizing that "the European Union will have to purchase energy from the United States." Trump also pointed out that "trade with the European Union must be fair and reciprocal."
