American cities are preparing to host around 1,200 demonstrations against President Donald Trump and his ally, Elon Musk, in protest of the U.S. administration's domestic and foreign policies.

Organizers anticipate this to be the largest day of protests against President Trump and billionaire Elon Musk since the administration began its rapid push to impose a conservative agenda on the government. The protests will provide an opportunity for Trump opponents to collectively express their dissatisfaction with the drastic changes he is implementing in U.S. foreign and domestic policies through executive orders.

Ezra Levin, co-founder of the organization Indivisible , one of the groups organizing the upcoming protests, stated, "This is a massive demonstration sending a very clear message to Musk, Trump, Republicans in Congress, and all supporters of the 'Make America Great Again' policy that we do not want their control over our democracy, our communities, our schools, our friends, and our neighbors."

The White House has yet to respond to requests for comments from Trump or Musk.

The event's website indicates that approximately 150 activist groups have decided to participate. Events are planned in all 50 states, as well as in Canada, Britain, France, Germany, Mexico, and Portugal.

Legal challenges have significantly constrained Trump's agenda, accusing him of overstepping his authority through attempts to dismiss government employees and deport immigrants.

A statement from protest groups noted that organizations supporting Palestinians and opposing the resumption of Israel's military campaign in Gaza, as well as the Trump administration's crackdown on related university protests, will also participate in the Washington demonstrations and plan to organize a march.
