Four civilians were killed and others injured, including a woman, as a result of shelling carried out by Israeli forces on the town of Kouya in western Daraa amidst intense reconnaissance flights.
Local Syrian sources reported that Israel penetrated the town and targeted it with several tank shells, causing casualties and property damage, according to Syria's official news agency, SANA.
This escalation comes days after airstrikes conducted by Israeli forces around the city of Daraa on the 17th of this month, which resulted in the deaths of three citizens and injuries to others of varying severity.
Earlier today, the Israeli army announced that it targeted two military bases in Homs Province, central Syria. In a statement, the army said, "Shortly ago, the Israeli army struck the remaining military capabilities at the Syrian Tadmur and T4 bases.
