World Christian Council for Peace: Syria May Lose Its Christian Population by 2045.

The World Christian Council for Peace (World CCP) warned in a report released on Saturday, March 15, 2025, about the potential disappearance of the Christian presence in Syria within the next 20 years, due to ongoing migration and a sharp decline in the Christian population since the war began in 2011.

The report highlighted that Syria is losing approximately 125,000 Christians annually due to continued violence and instability, which has reduced their proportion to less than 3% of the total population compared to pre-war levels.

It noted that by 2045, the percentage of Christians could drop to less than 0.5%, unless significant changes occur to halt migration and curb violence.

According to the report, the recent surge in violence, massacres, looting, killings, and displacement—particularly since the beginning of March 2025—has exacerbated the deteriorating situation for Christians and heightened concerns about their future in the country.

In conclusion, the Council called on the international community to take urgent action to protect the remaining Christian presence in Syria and to create a safe environment that ensures stability for all components of Syrian society.
