Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani affirmed today Saturday the commitment of the government to engaging with various components of society protecting their rights ensuring their representation and respecting rights and freedoms.

The media office of the prime minister stated in a press release received by "Alawla" that "Al-Sudani received the Coptic Orthodox Archbishop of Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Palestine, and Lebanon, Anba Antonios, along with his accompanying delegation."

The Prime Minister emphasized "the government's dedication to communicating with all components of society, safeguarding their rights, ensuring their representation, and respecting rights and freedoms, while also expressing its appreciation for the Christian community in Iraq. The government is working to facilitate the return of Iraqi Christians to their homeland and enable them to play their national role alongside other components of society."

Al-Sudani noted that "Iraq has made significant progress in consolidating stability by providing services, improving citizens' living standards, and developing infrastructure across various regions and governorates." He also pointed out that today he launched important service projects in the Sinjar and Nineveh Plain areas, benefiting the Christian community and other components in these regions."

For their part, "members of the Christian delegation appreciated the Iraqi government's interest, dedication, and engagement with all components of the Iraqi people, particularly the Christian community." They also praised "the stability achieved by the government through its focus on development and reconstruction, which serves the interests of all Iraqis."
