Israel continues to issue threats of returning to war in the Gaza Strip after negotiations stalled and the first phase concluded without transitioning to the second phase.
Israeli sources indicated that political estimates suggest that if no agreements are reached within ten days, Israel will resume war with full force. However, they are currently awaiting the arrival of the delayed U.S. envoy.
Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated that halting aid entry is the first step, to be followed by cutting water and electricity to Gaza, and then a return to full-scale war.
Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Katz warned that if Hamas does not release the hostages soon, "the gates of Gaza will close, and the gates of hell will open," as he put it.
At the same time, during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech in the Knesset, a shocking scene unfolded for Israelis. Families of Israeli prisoners and casualties were forcibly prevented from entering the guest gallery, sparking a political storm in Israel.
