The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on Monday that four people were killed and six others injured in an attack carried out by unknown gunmen on worshippers in the town of Hayalin in the rural area of Hama province as they were entering the mosque for Taraweeh prayers (Sunday evening).
The observatory mentioned that the gunmen, who were riding a motorcycle, opened fire on the worshippers before fleeing, resulting in the casualties.
It added that security forces brought reinforcements to the attack site and began combing the area to pursue the attackers.
