Oil Companies in Kurdistan: We Will Not Resume Oil Exports Through Ceyhan Port of Turkey.

Eight international oil companies operating in the Kurdistan region announced on Friday that they would not resume oil exports through Turkey's Ceyhan port, despite the Iraqi government's announcement of an imminent resumption of exports.

The Kurdistan Oil Industry Association (APIKUR), which represents 60% of the region's production, stated that "no official communications have been made to clarify commercial agreements and payment guarantees for past and future exports.

Miles Caggins, spokesperson for APIKUR, explained that "APIKUR member companies will not resume oil exports today.

The association includes companies such as Gulf Keystone Petroleum, DNO, Genel Energy, and Shamaran Petroleum.

Earlier on Friday, Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayyan Abdul Ghani announced that oil exports from the Kurdistan region through Turkey's Ceyhan port would resume soon, during his visit to Khor Al-Zubair port to inspect gas pipeline connection operations.
