Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani launched the execution of the Samawah Gas Power Plant project with a production capacity of 250 megawatts on Thursday. This event took place after his arrival in Al-Muthanna province to inaugurate and launch the execution of several production and service projects in the province.

Earlier in the day, Al-Sudani also launched the execution of the Al-Anam Trading and Livestock Company complex project, which includes food, agricultural, and vegetable oil products. This private sector project has a total cost of $370 million.

The Prime Minister's media office stated that the launch of the Al-Anam complex project is part of the government's efforts to enhance the private sector and support economic development in the region.
