The Iraqi Judicial Council denied on Wednesday the existence of any arrest warrants issued by the courts in the country against heads of state or officials.
In a statement, the council said, "The media center of the Supreme Judicial Council monitored the publication of arrest warrants on social media attributed to investigative courts.
It added, "The center clarifies, after contacting the courts attributed to issuing these warrants, that they are forged and incorrect." The council warned that those engaging in such illegal activities will be tracked down and legal actions will be taken against them.
In recent days, arrest warrants have circulated for Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa, U.S. President Donald Trump, and U.S. Congressman Joe Wilson.
