Governor of Nineveh, Abdul Qadir Al-Dakhil, received a delegation from the Iraqi community in Michigan, USA, led by the President of the Chaldean Community Foundation and President of the Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce, Martin Mana. The meeting was also attended by the Prime Minister's Advisor and Chairman of the Sinjar and Nineveh Plain Reconstruction Fund, Zaidan Khalaf Al-Atwani; Member of the Provincial Council Hisham Al-Hashemi; and Technical Deputy Omar Namik Al-Moula, along with several advisors, assistants, and directors of various departments.
Governor Al-Dakhil affirmed his commitment to providing full support to Mr. Martin Mana and the American companies interested in investing within the province. He mentioned that the local government had completed the renovation of the Clock Church and the Tahira Church, as well as the opening of the nuns' house. Additionally, the reconstruction of the Maskanta Church has commenced. He also announced plans to build a cultural center for Christians in Mosul next month and work on rebuilding all churches in the districts and sub-districts to encourage Christians to return to the province.
Martin Mana emphasized that the Chaldean community in America is an important community, pointing out that his visit to Mosul aims to activate an Iraqi-American Chamber of Commerce and enhance economic cooperation between the two sides. He also extended an invitation to the central and local governments to visit the state of Michigan and praised the significant development witnessed by Nineveh Province in terms of reconstruction and building.
