Advisor of Al-Sudani Denies U.S. Threat to Iraq Regarding Kurdistan Oil Exports.

Farhad Alaadin, the Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Iraqi Prime Minister, told Reuters that Baghdad denies reports suggesting that the country might face U.S. sanctions if oil exports from the Kurdistan region are not resumed.

Alaadin stated that "there is no truth to media reports claiming threats of imposing sanctions on Iraq in case Kurdistan oil exports are not resumed.

He added, "In all recent communications with the U.S. administration, there was no threat of sanctions or any form of pressure on Iraq.
