Minister of Justice Khalid Shwani met with the Head of the Endowment Office for Christian, Yazidi, and Mandaean Religions, Rami Joseph Agajan, on Monday to discuss measures for protecting the properties of the Christian community.

In a statement, the Ministry of Justice said, "Minister of Justice Khalid Shwani received, on Monday, at the ministry's headquarters, the Head of the Endowment Office for Christian, Yazidi, and Mandaean Religions, Rami Joseph Agajan, to discuss ways of coordination between the ministry and the office and to enhance legal measures for protecting Christian properties.

The statement added that "the meeting included discussions on mechanisms to regulate the legal relationship between the office and the ministry concerning the protection of Christian properties, as well as the efforts made in this regard, which are among the government's priorities in establishing the principles of justice and equality.

For his part, Agajan expressed his appreciation for the mutual cooperation between the ministry and the office, while also commending "the measures taken to safeguard the rights of Christians and other communities.
